Tetono brings together free online tools and honest comparison guides in one place. Our goal is simple — help you get things done faster and make better decisions, with no signup and nothing to install.
What we do
- 90+ free tools — check the Thai lottery, today's gold and fuel prices, work out income tax and net salary, issue a quotation or receipt, compress images, merge and sign PDFs, generate a PromptPay QR code.
- Everyday Thai data — real-time PM2.5 by province, EV charging stations nationwide, hospitals near you, and the public-holiday calendar.
- Comparison guides across tech, personal finance, health, home and travel — written fresh for this site, never copied from anywhere else.
Most tools run entirely in your browser. The files you open (images, PDFs, documents) are never uploaded to a server, and the figures you type into the tax calculator are worked out on your own device.
Our editorial team
The Tetono Editorial Team is the collective name for the people who run this site. The three kinds of content here are made in three different ways, and we think you should know which one you are reading:
- Tools and calculators — we write all of the code ourselves. Every piece of calculation logic is covered by an automated test suite, and the rules behind it (the personal income tax brackets, the statutory severance bands) are written out separately so they can be checked against the law.
- Data pages (air quality, fuel prices, lottery results, charging stations, hospitals) — pulled from official sources automatically on a schedule. No figure is ever typed or edited by hand, and if a refresh comes back looking wrong, the pipeline refuses to overwrite what is already published and keeps the previous set.
- Articles and news — drafted using AI tools against an editorial brief we wrote, then published automatically. That brief requires research against real sources, requires those sources to be cited, requires every news story to be corroborated by at least two of them (named and linked at the foot of the story so you can check for yourself), and requires every image to genuinely show its subject and be licensed for use. What it does not include is an editor reading each line before it goes live.
That last point is why the "Found something wrong?" section below is not a formality. We treat a reader's correction as part of how this site is checked, not as a complaint — and we say all of this because we think you should know, not because anyone made us.
How we work
- We go to primary sources — fuel prices from the PTT and Bangchak feeds, lottery results from the Government Lottery Office, air quality from the Pollution Control Department (Air4Thai), health facilities from Thai government open data, and tax rules from the Revenue Code.
- We always show the source and the date. Every data page says where it came from and when it was last updated, so you can check it yourself.
- We do not test every product ourselves, and we never pretend to. Comparison guides are built from manufacturers' published specifications, actual advertised prices and reviews from multiple sources, with the criteria we judged on stated in the article.
- We update when the facts change. Revised articles carry a visible "Updated" date.
- We separate opinion from fact. A number is a number; a recommendation is our view, and we make clear which is which.
What we don't do
- We don't accept payment for a favourable review, or for a higher ranking.
- We don't use other people's images without the right to — illustrations are freely-licensed, supplied by the manufacturer, or made by us.
- We don't keep the files you use with our tools, and we never sell your data.
How we make money
Every tool and article is free. We are funded two ways — advertising and affiliate links. If you follow a shop link from our site and buy something, we may earn a referral fee from the seller at no extra cost to you, and we disclose those links at the point where they appear.
We do not sell, broker or act as an agent for any financial product.
Limits worth knowing
Anything time-sensitive — prices, specifications, promotions, policy terms or tax rules — can change after we publish. Our calculators are planning estimates, not financial, legal or medical advice, and documents generated here are helper templates, not forms certified by any government agency. For anything that matters, check with the official source or a professional.
Found a mistake? Tell us
Our process can get things wrong, and with no editor reading every line, your eyes are the most reliable check this site has. If you spot a figure that doesn't match, a broken link or something out of date, tell us on the contact page — say which page and what it should be. We'll check it against the primary source and fix it, and where the correction changes an article's conclusion we date the update on the page.
