Frequently asked questions

What facilities does this directory cover?
13,731 health facilities nationwide: 1,675 hospitals (public and private) and 9,674 sub-district health centers, from government open data plus OpenStreetMap.
What number do I call in an emergency in Thailand?
Call 1669 (the national emergency medical service) — free, 24/7, nationwide. For critical emergencies, the UCEP rule lets you get free treatment at the nearest hospital, public or private, for the first 72 hours.
Where can I use the Gold Card or Social Security scheme?
The universal-coverage Gold Card works at your registered facility (check or move it in the Paotang app). Social Security uses the hospital on your entitlement card, changeable once a year. In critical emergencies UCEP applies at any hospital.
Where does the location data come from?
State facility coordinates come from government open data (the CITIZENinfo system on data.go.th), supplemented with hospitals from OpenStreetMap, which the community updates continuously. For important trips, call the facility to confirm first.

Data from the CITIZENinfo system (Thai government open data, data.go.th) and © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL). Locations and listings can change — for critical visits, call the facility to confirm.
