Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Tetono ("we") collects and uses information when you use tetono.com.

What we collect

  • Anonymous usage data such as pages visited, browser and approximate country, to improve the site.
  • Most of our tools run in your browser — files you process (e.g. images) are not uploaded or stored on our servers.
  • We don't require personal information to use the basic tools.

Temporary Email (Temp Email)

Our Temp Email tool is a disposable, receive-only inbox. When someone sends mail to a generated address, that email's content is stored briefly on our server so we can display it in the inbox, and it is automatically deleted after about 60 minutes.

  • The inbox is public — anyone who knows the address can read its mail (which is why addresses are long random strings that are impractical to guess).
  • It only receives mail (no sending or replying); we don't use the content for any other purpose and never share it with third parties.
  • Technically, this briefly-stored content is accessible to the site operator (as with any disposable-email service), so we keep retention as short as possible and don't log message contents.
  • Please don't use it for sensitive data such as banking, ID documents or important passwords.

Cookies and tracking

We and our partners use cookies for analytics and advertising:

  • Analytics cookies run from the moment you visit, helping us understand aggregate usage and improve the site.
  • Personalized advertising cookies run only after you click "Accept" in the cookie banner.
  • If you click "Decline", we stop collecting analytics and no ad cookies are set.

You can change your choice, or disable all cookies, in your browser settings at any time.

Third-party advertising (Google AdSense)

This site may show ads via Google and its partners. These providers may use cookies to serve relevant ads based on your visits to this and other sites. Manage ad preferences at Google Ads Settings and read more in Google's Privacy Policy.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics (no cookies, no personal identifiers) and Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage. Google Analytics runs under Consent Mode with analytics cookies enabled by default to measure site usage; you can opt out at any time by clicking "Decline" in the cookie banner.

Buy us a coffee (supporting Tetono)

The "Support Tetono" button under each page's breadcrumb (a coffee for the Tetono team) opens our own PromptPay page, with a link to Stripe's payment page for card / Apple Pay / Google Pay — Stripe, the payment provider, takes the payment either way. Paying is entirely your choice — the site works the same either way. What you enter there (email, payment method) is collected by Stripe under Stripe's own privacy policy; we see only the email, the amount, the date and how it was paid (never a full card number).

So that we can thank you once you have paid:

  • Tapping the button opens our own PromptPay page, which makes the QR straight away with nothing to fill in, and a random code (nothing about you is in it) that your browser remembers for about 48 hours once a QR is made or you go on to Stripe's page.
  • To make the PromptPay QR, our server sends Stripe only the number of cups, that random code and — if you are signed in to Tetono — your account's email (so the thank-you can reach your account); Stripe keeps them with the payment. If you are not signed in we send no email of yours at all: the email field Stripe requires is filled with a fixed address of the site's own instead. As a result, a payment made while not signed in cannot be refunded through Stripe's refund email. We do not keep the email ourselves; to stop QR codes being made too often we keep a hash of your IP address (not the address) for at most 1 day.
  • If you pay by card / Apple Pay / Google Pay, the link to Stripe's page carries that random code and, if you are signed in, fills the email field with your account's email (you can change it there).
  • When the payment goes through, Stripe tells us that it was paid, with that code and the email it was paid with. We keep only Stripe's payment reference, the random code and the time, for 7 days, then delete them — so the browser that tapped can ask and show you a thank-you.
  • The email is used once, to find a Tetono account that has verified that address, and to put a thank-you in that account's notification inbox and send it as a push notification to devices where you turned notifications on. We do not store that email. If no account matches, nothing is sent.
